 | | Founded in 1946 by Alfred F. Beyer, Casa Rio Restaurant sits on land first granted title in 1777 by the King of Spain. The Spanish Colonial period hacienda became the core of the new business. The cedar door and window lintels, the fireplace, and thick rock walls, are still evident inside the building. Casa Rio was the first San Antonio business to open its doors to the River and take advantage of the River's setting. Canoes, gondolas, and paddle boats, evolving into tour and dinner boats, began here and helped create the Riverwalk of today. Facilities are accessible to the mobility impaired. | Member Since: 1946

| | Built on three levels that descend down to the River Walk, the four diamond Las Canarias is known for its romantic and relaxing atmosphere. Sitting under the graceful palms, watching the flow of the river, or being caught up in the festivities of people strolling by, diners are carried away to another place and time. Inside, Las Canarias recreates the graciousness that accompanies fine dining while providing the comfort that contemporary lifestyles demand. Las Canarias is “American Refined.” It is a careful presentation of sight, smell, texture and taste. It is a “celebration of food and wine.” If you want to eat, you can go anywhere, but if you want a truly memorable dining experience, then Las Canarias is the place. | Member Since: 2005
