Event Description: Celebrate Governor Dolph Briscoe, Jr.’s birthday at the Briscoe Western Art Museum! Museum docent, Uvalde resident, and long-time family friend and neighbor, Jan Elliott, shares personal insight into Governor Briscoe and his love for Western Art. Then stop by the Gloria Gaines Clingman Education Gallery for a quick make and take art activity inspired by the political buttons of Governor Brisoce’s campaigns. The Museum Store will feature the governor’s biography, Dolph Briscoe: My Life in Texas Ranching and Politics by Dolph Briscoe and Don Carleton, and other related merchandise. Finally, enjoy some birthday cake to finish off the celebration!
