Airlines Discuss Easier Travel Plans To/From San Antonio

Everyone’s heads were in the clouds as a panel of airline representatives discussed plans to make air travel easier and more convenient between Mexico and San Antonio at the Aerospace Luncheon on June 11. Representatives from Aeromexico, InterJet and Viaaerbus chatted about how they have supported coming to San Antonio, and if they might be offering more flights and additional routes to/from the San Antonio International Airport in the future.

“It is not a surprise that San Antonio is Texas’ number one tourist destination, with more than 26 million visitors annually, many from Mexico said Airport Director Frank Miller, who moderated the panel of airline representatives.

Highlights of the presentations included:

  • Aeromexico has added three daily flights from San Antonio to Mexico making providing customers with more options for flights throughout the day.
  • InterJet, Mexico’s first high-efficiency low cost airline, made San Antonio their first international destination for Mexican travelers. 
  • Viaaerbus, the fastest growing airline in Mexico, offers three weekly flights from Monterey, Mexico to San Antonio.
