LSA Class 38 Comes to a Close

Leadership San Antonio (LSA) Class 38 met for the last time during their closing retreat at the Flying L Guest Ranch in Bandera recently. The group reflected on their LSA experience over the past year and focused on how to carry that knowledge into the future, utilizing it in their professional and personal lives.

During the opening day of the retreat, the class had the pleasure of hearing from leadership speaker Clint Swindall, President and CEO of Verbalocity. At Verbalocity, they focus on developing leaders at all levels of various organizations. Swindall encouraged Class 38 members to review the past year they have spent in the LSA program and challenged them to think about how they have grown because of it. He also stressed that even though the program is over, they should make commitments to keep in touch and stay involved with the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to continue their leadership journey.

On the second day of the retreat, Class 38 Steering Committee Member Wayne Terry, Supplier Diversity Manager at H-E-B, led a group feedback discussion. Class members were separated into groups and asked to evaluate the program in order to learn what was successful and where there is room for improvement for future LSA classes.

On behalf of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, we would like to thank Steering Committee Co-Chairs Murray H. Van Eman, Attorney at Law at King & Sommer, LLP, and Gavino Ramos for all of their hard work this year. We would also like to give a big thank you to the rest of the Steering Committee members for their commitment to Class 38.
