Chambers Welcome New Members of Leadership San Antonio Class 39

On November 26, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce announced the 56 individuals who will make up the 39th class of Leadership San Antonio (LSA).

“LSA is an opportunity to empower, engage and excite a new group of leaders to become involved in the future of the San Antonio region,” said  Debra Guerrero (Vice President of Texas Development with the NRP Group), LSA Steering Committee Co-Chair.

“Leadership San Antonio provides a wonderful avenue for the emerging leaders of our community to learn the intricacies of how our city really works. I have lived here my entire life and had two parents who were active within the city's government for over 50 years combined and still found myself surprised at how San Antonio worked and all it had to offer.  I recommend the Leadership San Antonio class highly to anyone who wants to be a factor in making a difference within our city in the long run,” said LSA Steering Committee Co-Chair, Dr. Timothy Palomera (Physician with Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio).

Since 1975, the jointly sponsored program has provided a unique learning experience for leaders in the San Antonio metropolitan area. Members meet monthly to hear from industry experts and elected officials about the many aspects of what makes the business community, the city, and the county function.

LSA is much more than a prestigious leadership development program. It is an honor earned by individuals in our community which recognizes and celebrates character, dedication, the positive choices and the sacrifices these individuals have made to make San Antonio a better place. The program provides participants the opportunity to expand and continue their service to our region, and in turn, leave an indelible mark on our city in the following ways:

  • LSA identifies individuals who are active and have demonstrated leadership in their chosen profession as well as in community organizations to support San Antonio's growth and development. Participation in LSA connects people to a group of diverse public and community servants who share a common desire for a life-long commitment to the betterment of their community.
  • LSA exposes participants to a wide array of issues and the means to positively impact them in order to broaden their base of knowledge and develop perspective on alternative views about the diverse issues facing the San Antonio metropolitan area.
  • LSA introduces participants to the key role of the business community, including organizations like the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, involved in the development of San Antonio.
