CHRISTUS Santa Rosa LiveWell™ Women’s Network Brings “Girl Talk” to New Braunfels

On Thursday, May 8th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System LiveWell Women’s Network will host Girl Talk at the McKenna Events Center in New Braunfels.  CHRISTUS Santa Rosa’s LiveWell Women’s Network was created by women for women who want to improve their overall health and wellness.  With the world full of challenges and unexpected stressors, it is important for women to stay informed on important issues regarding their mental and physical well-being.

“We are pleased to bring this opportunity to the women of New Braunfels and the surrounding area,” said Melissa C. Krause, Director, Strategic Marketing and Communications, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System.  “Women often take care of the entire family’s heath care needs, and it is important to us that they have an opportunity to take advantage of fun and exciting health and wellness initiatives to care for themselves.  The LiveWell Women’s Network offers education on health topics most relevant to women, and Girl Talk is the perfect event to introduce the Network to our community.”

Food, Fun, and Fashion

Throughout the evening, attendees will be able to shop for the latest trends in women’s fashions and accessories from our featured stores, Kendra Scott and Perky Peacock, and to learn cutting-edge hair and makeup tips from our featured salon and spa, William Edge.  While enjoying hors d’oeuvres, wine, and fabulous door prizes, those in attendance can also spend time visiting other vendors, including community physicians, Alibi Boutique, New Braunfels Family YMCA, Retreat Salon and Day Spa, UpTown Chic, and more.  Art will be integrated into the evening through an artist from Clay Casa, formerly Bisque Bistro, who will create a beautiful floral mosaic.  This fabulous piece of art will then be given as a door prize at the end of the event.

Kendra Scott, a nationally recognized line of jewelry, will donate 20% of their sales from the evening to the Friends of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Foundation to support innovative programs and community outreach initiatives at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels.  This evening is the perfect time for our guests to enjoy themselves and purchase last minute Mother’s Day gifts for themselves or others.

Women’s Health Focus

Girl Talk will feature CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels physicians.  Kimberly Crawford, host of Fox San Antonio’s Lifesystyle and Entertainment Show, “Daytime at Nine,” will emcee Girl Talk and ask a panel of physicians including Dr. Emily Briggs, Family Practice/Gynecological; Dr. Rahul Bose, Women's Heart Health; and Dr. Judith Thompson, Breast Health, personal health questions written by women in the audience in a comfortable and light-hearted setting.
