For the sixth year in a row, the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Physicians Ambulatory Surgery Center – New Braunfels has won the national 2013/2014 APEX Quality Award for excellence in patient satisfaction. Of the 90 health care organizations awarded this year, only ten facilities have the distinction of being recognized for the sixth consecutive year. In addition, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Physicians Ambulatory Surgery Center – Ewing Halsell is a third-time recipient of the award.
“The physicians and Associates at our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Physicians Ambulatory Surgery Centers are very deserving of this honor,” said Pat Carrier, FACHE, president and CEO, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System. “Receiving the APEX Quality Award publicly recognizes our service excellence expectations being carried out every day at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa facilities. I am proud of our physicians and Associates whose commitment to excellence made this recognition possible once again.”
Guidelines for APEX Quality Award recognition include demonstrating the highest level of excellence in patient satisfaction and overall care over a 12-month period. Key Performance Indicators tied closely to Clinical, Operational, and Interpersonal Measures are paramount drivers in the overall evaluation process. Each year Voyance evaluates and revises award criteria making the honor more challenging to receive.
“We utilize patient satisfaction surveys to uncover our strengths and areas for improvement, so it is fulfilling to receive the APEX Quality Award for the work taking place at our Physicians Ambulatory Surgery Centers,” said Brad Hamilton, vice president, ambulatory surgery and non-acute services, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System. “This award embodies the commitment of our dedicated professionals to our mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ and to ensuring a positive experience for the patients we are privileged to serve.”
The APEX Quality Awards are announced annually by Voyance, an organization that offers a wide range of products and solutions that help healthcare organizations improve overall performance.
