Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Opens New Pediatric Specialty Clinic at Westover Hills Location

Sports Medicine, ENT and Pulmonary services offered

Children now have access to world-class pediatric specialty care in the Westover Hills area.  The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio has opened a pediatric specialty clinic on the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa – Westover Hills campus.

“This is just one more way we are bringing world class pediatric care closer to home for children and families,” said Elias J. Neujahr, President of Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. “We are bringing the specialists to the families and we are beginning with those services that are very much needed by the children in our community.”

The clinic will offer specialists in Sports Medicine, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), and Pulmonary Medicine with more specialists planned for the future.

“The three services we are starting with are ones that are very common for children to need in San Antonio and the surrounding area,” said Pat Carrier, President/CEO of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System.  “We believe in building a network that provides easy access to care for all children and if we can provide access to specialists, perhaps we can help bridge the gap so often seen in pediatric medicine within our community.”

In conjunction with the development of the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Physician Group, the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio recently solidified affiliation agreements with CentroMed and Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care, providing families with 15 additional locations throughout the city where they can receive high level pediatric care.

“We are bridging gaps and breaking new ground,” said Carrier. “The model of pediatric health is changing in San Antonio and we couldn’t be more proud to lead this effort and provide care close to home for children and families."
