San Antonio Public Library Launches Mayor’s Book Club
Community invited to join Mayor Ivy Taylor in city-wide read

WHAT: Mayor Ivy Taylor and the San Antonio Public Library announce the Mayor’s Book Club book selection and other event and program information.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 1, 2014, 1 p.m.

On Wednesday, October 1 at 1 p.m., the San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) will announce an exciting new partnership with Mayor Ivy Taylor. The Mayor’s Book Club, a community-wide reading campaign, was designed to cultivate a community experience through reading and discussion. The program’s goals are to expand an appreciation for literature in the San Antonio community.
Throughout the months of October and November SAPL, San Antonio Parks and Recreation and the Department of Human Services will host exciting programs at Library branches, parks facilities and senior centers that are related to the themes of the book. Join us on Wednesday, October 1 to learn which book the Mayor has selected!
