Family Service to Join With 20 eateries on The BIG GIVE SA Day, Local Restaurants Unite ONE CITY on ONE DAY, May 5, for ONE GOAL

Family Service Association has partnered with 10 restaurants with 20 citywide locations for Tuesday, May 5, The Big Give SA online phenomenon, a 24-hour social media driven online giving day that will encourage people to EAT BIG AND GIVE BIG.

The city’s oldest non-profit social service agency has teamed up with a variety of restaurants who have pledged a portion of their sales on Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo as part of the community-wide giving challenge to increase public awareness of the impact local non-profits make in addressing a community’s social challenges.

“This will help us raise much needed funds for some of our city’s most vulnerable constituents, young children, families and the elderly,” explains Family Service President/CEO Nancy L. Hard. “One can find a complete list of participating restaurants on our website www.family-service.org and clicking on the BIG GIVE S.A. icon. Doesn’t matter how you donate, either online or in person at the restaurant, the beneficiaries are families we serve locally and in South Texas.”

The Big Give S.A. is a 24-hour social media driven online giving day that will take place from midnight to midnight on May 5, 2015.
