Brooks Academy Awarded PLTW Verizon Grant

The Brooks Academy of Science and Engineering (Brooks Academy), a T- STEM accredited K-12 public charter school, was awarded a $20,000 grant from Project Lead The Way (PLTW) to implement the PLTW Gateway Introduction to Computer Science (ICS) units for middle school. This opportunity was made possible by Verizon.

The grant will be used to purchase Android Tablets and desktop computers and laptops for students and teachers to implement the PLTW ICS curriculum. 

Brooks Academy utilizes the PLTW curriculum for its T-STEM academy. PLTW provides K-12 STEM programs. Its Gateway curriculum is used in middle school grades and is the foundation for the PLTW Engineering curriculum in high school.  For more information on PLTW please visit www.pltw.org.

Brooks Academy has three campuses in San Antonio.
