WWB Japan Corporation CEO Delivers Asian Forum Address And Former Director JICA Delivers Forum 97 Address

GLOBAL SKILLS PROGRAMS PLANNED-FRIDAY CLUB FORUM PEGGED

On December 13, 2008 WWB Japan CEO J. Nicholas Papatones delivered the keynote address to the Asian Business Forum. The Mission of the Asian Business Forum is to empower business dealings between and amongst the nations of the Far east and the Pacific Rim. The Presentation Topic was "Potential Implications of the Obama Election upon Japan." This was the last in approximately 60 speeches that Mr. Papatones has delivered in front of various business forums in the Greater Tokyo area. A central theme of the presentation was that Obama Administration officials may be casting a keen eye to Japan in order to determine whether it is willing to better assimilate flexibility and acceptance of certain levels of risk in its contribution to strategic political, economic and security relationships key allies including the United States. Specifically, policies aimed at stimulating domestic demand, lowering trade barriers, constitutional revision, and towards a more pro active role in the war against terrorism were highlighted. The 40-minute presentation proceeded a vigorous 20-minute Q/A session before this business group of approximately 50 persons.


ON January 9, 2009, the Friday Club Forum "A Way to Peaceful Coexistence through Assistance For Developing Countries" was delivered by: Naoyuki Kobayashi, Director, Reproductive Health Team, Human Development Department, JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency)
