SA to DC 2011

February 6-9, 2011

For the past 33 years, The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has led an annual SA to DC trip to Washington, D.C., for members of our business community, and state and local elected officials. Representatives from the city, county and leading industries go to Washington, DC with a unified voice to urge members of Congress, Administration officials and military leaders in the Pentagon to address the specific needs and concerns of the South Central Texas region. For the past 6 years, the trip has averaged more than 100 attendees and included the Bexar County Judge, the San Antonio Mayor and other local political leaders.

The primary focus of the trip during the first 20 years was to say thank you to Pentagon officials and members of Congress for their support of the military installations in San Antonio; however, in recent years, the scope of this trip has expanded. We now partner with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Free Trade Alliance and the focus of the trip has broadened to include issues relating to Aerospace, Healthcare, Cyber Security, International Trade, Immigration, Transportation, Water, Education and Small Business.

Over the years, SA to DC has evolved from a relatively simple demonstration of community support and appreciation for the military, into a well-recognized opportunity for knowledgeable people to focus upon, and impact matters of importance to San Antonio. Your presence and participation will play a vital role in the continued success of this annual visit and our ability to address the needs of the South Central Texas region.

We invite you to join us on our next SA to DC trip. Register now to reserve your place on SA to DC 2011.
