Roof Fix

Service and installation on my solar was good, until I learned today, May 3, 2024, the company filed for BANKRUPTCY! 5million in the hole! I am so very sad; how can this company go down and not even notify their customers who placed their trust in them. I need some answers! With the recent hail storm (unfortunately) I had to file a claim with my homeowners insurance due to roof damage. Roof Fix, I need you to come through!!!

What a bullshit company !!! He just couldn't find other ways to rip people off. This man took $45,000 from us. Not only us, a whole lot of other folks here in San Antonio,

This man can rot in hell for all I care. He took from our family and played dumb, he took from seniors, he took from anyone he could. That's how he trained his staff, to rip off anyone, in way possible. Was borrowing from Joe to pay Moe. He just couldn't face the Piper any more.

I have news for all this staff that he left behind.......

I used Gilbert from Expertise Roofing, honest and informed as he progressed. Over 25 years of experience. His father started his business, before he continued the family trade. My husband and I bought this lemon of a system about 2 maybe 3 years ago and we have used it twice. It has
broken down once and they came out and fixed it. Now as of late AUGUST EARLY SEPTEMBER 2023 it has not worked I have called and they sent out different people both times when they did actually send someone out. One master electrician took the battery from the generator and pulled wires out. We have no idea why. I have called,text messaged and have gone to their office and all

On the schedule. I think by this time I should be on the damn schedule. I paid them in full for this lemon of a system that they sold me. I didn't drag my feet to pay them. I've stopped talking to the office and was communicating thru text and phone with Daniel Trevino and that's gone to hell. He does not return my text messages or my phone calls now. Keep ignoring me and we will be communicating thru the BBB. I also told the office I have a family friend that is on a very popular show that airs on ksat 12 and does investigative journalism. I really hope they don't call my bluff. I will also get in contact with all this people you have scammed and bring this business down. No amount of commercials on Ken's 5 will help. So Mr. Charping if you care about your business and image I suggest you send someone out to fix this system ASAP. I've been very patient with this company but that's about to end. The reviews and steer clear of this company!! Save yourselves money and headaches!! Just an fyi to everyone Duane Charping has passed away as of 1/31/2024 according to an obituary I found. Supposedly there are new owners out in Dallas.

We hired Roof Fix in January 2022 to install a brand new roof, gutters and rain barrels; this was a $30k job paid in full. One year later gutters are falling apart, hitting my 70 year old mother while gardening below. We called them May 4, 2023, and were told the managers on our job no longer work there? And, they needed to "research" our job, and will reach out in a "few days." They never called back; We called them back over two weeks later, on May 22, asking again for service on our broken gutters, and again was told someone would call us "end of day." Again, nothing, and not even a courtesy call. Called again today, May 25, and told the same thing, "we still need to reach out to service team." NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY; Once your roof is installed and paid for, you will never get any help, service or communication about your roof job if it needs service.

After our roof sustained damage from a recent hailstorm, we required replacement of the entire roof.
While looking at shingle samples at our local Lowes store, we saw a sign that Lowes offered installment. My spouse and I have always had great service from Lowes for the past 20 years. Any time there was any issue Lowes took care of it without any problem. They either refunded, replaced, or repaired. They also have had very competitive prices and offer a military discount which makes us check there store first when we need to purchase items that they sell. All this being said I contacted Lowes and was put in contact with Roof Fix of San Antonio Tx.
Roof Fix of San Antonio contacted me and came to the home promptly. Joshua the sales adviser was polite, professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He provided an estimate for the replacement that was competitive to the others we had acquired. We were advised that the roof would be installed in four weeks or less. He guaranteed us this was the timeline. Since we had the above prior relationship with Lowes, we contracted with Roof Fix of San Antonio knowing that the supplies used would be provided by Lowes. We provided Roof Fix of San Antonio one half $9,000.00 of the total price of $18,000.00.
The next day I received a phone call from Roof Fix of San Antonio's office staff and was advised that I would receive a call within the next few days from "Chad" and the roof replacement would be scheduled.
After two weeks and not hearing from Chad, I called Roof Fix of San Antonio and was transferred to "Chad" I was advised "Yes sir I was just looking at the supply list for your Roof this morning and we will be out there in two weeks. We will call when it gets a little closer to the date.
After two more weeks passed, I called and again was transferred to "Chad" he advised that "they were very busy doing Solar panel replacements and installs All across Texas" for other customers. I was advised it would be at least another two weeks before they would be able to do the roof replacement.
After another two weeks I called Roof Fix and was again transferred to "Chad at this time I was advised that they would be able to do the install in two weeks and gave me a date. That date came and no crew showed up.
I again called and was transferred to "Chad" again he stated the business was very busy. He again advised me they would be out on a certain date to do the install which was another two weeks. He advised me at this time after I stated that my wife and I had discussed the issue that we wanted to cancel the install as we felt that we were lied to by "Chad" He then stated that there would be a fee a certain percentage that Roof Fix would keep if we cancelled the install. At this point "Chad stated he would provide us with a gift card for $200.00 to the local grocery store for our inconvenience. (I never received the gift card) I asked to speak with the company owner, and he advised "He's not available, I asked to have the owner of the company call me. I was advised that the owner was very busy and "I, Chad speak for him." I advised "Chad that I still wanted to speak to the owner of the company". I never did receive a call.
Several days prior to the date "Chad" provided I received a call from "Chad" that the crew would be out to do the install on the date that he had previously provided to me. (Which was the last day that the roof could have been done without being in default of the contract, 90th day)

The crew arrived at the specified time, went right to work on the install. They were excellent and did an excellent job. They removed the old shingles, installed all the new products and picked up any debris. They were extremely professional. The crew and Alfonso where the best part of this experience. They were the only persons that we feel treated us the way that a company associated with Lowes should. We would give them FIVE STARS
I would advise Lowes that they need to advise Roof Fix that lying to customers multiple times about delivery of services and dates is not in sync with or to the Lowe's brand, and reputation. I would advise Roof Fix of San Antonio that having a person repeatedly lying to a customer is not a way to build a solid positive business reputation.

Last week a man came buy gave me estimate and charged 6k to my card I was expecting company to contact me in a couple of days and nothing! I called twice today for an update and was told first that Syliva wasn't in and she would call me after lunch I waiting til 330 called back and she was not in. They transferred me to another person and she told me she was going to get right on it and call me back before close of business and nothing. I'm starting to feel like I've been scammed out of 6k. I should have looked at reviews because some of them are suspect

BUYER BEWARE! I was sold a product that wasn't as promised. I have been in touch with customer service and management and have had no luck with resolving my issue. At this point, I am not receiving any communication and am pursuing legal counsel. I recommend that everyone take their business elsewhere.

Company owner Duane..I hope you read this and will respond! I have experienced the worst customer service ever while trying to resolve an issue with your company. I feel dupped, baited then switched by the higher levels of the management. I was led to believe by the VP of sales mind you, that my new roof would be 0 down, no payment for 6 months, and 0% interest if paid off before the 6 month "Promotion period". Their promotion, their chosen bank, and their loan application which was completed in my home by their VP! I was animate on the fact that my decision to contract with this company was contingent on that very promotion which was the deciding factor to use them instead of a competitor. A day later, I was contacted and congratulated by the VP on securing the loan with a statement, "We got it just in time". But on attempt to pay off the loan I was then told by your chosen bank that I was never put in for that type of loan and I owed an additional amount (over 1K) in interest! Thinking that this was an obvious oversight, I then began trying to contact Roof fix for resolution. I was tossed around, made promises of return calls, and ignored for almost 3 months before writing a negative review on the Roof fix website. That only resulted in a review response with promises of immediate attention to the matter and a promise that management would be involved. Yet NOTHING ever happened. Months later, someone called me from concern of the review I had posted and, in an effort, to have me remove the review to supposedly "Speed up" resolution. (Hide the truth to be treated fairly)?? I was told again that management is aware of this issue and someone would be in contact. Weeks later, still nothing so I called the same individual back. He stated that their finance dept was slow, but asked, "How much is the interest amount owed"? (I had previously provided a statement with all info) yet, being asked the same question again. He then asked, "Will you remove the review if we pay it off? He again promised to leave a note for management. This tells me that the customer is not truly their priority, but what others think about this business is. The only contact received was a tort to remove the review. I have experienced no integrity, professionalism, honesty, or service after the sale with this company. I can only pray that I never have any warranty issues. This company operates in a Military town..I can personally vouch after serving 23 years myself, that integrity, honor, and excellence are virtues which should never be compromised sold or traded at any cost. We seek businesses that raise the bar to those standards. You have missed the mark.

Staff always able to answer questions when they come up very friendly and courteous walked us through the processes explained any issues that came up I would use them again for a roof or solar panels but we have the lifetime warranty for both so until I move into another home

The Project Manager Alonso was very informative and professional at every phase of the job. I can't praise the crew enough for the great work they displayed from start to finish. Great Job!! San Antonio, TX
