Tropicana Ice Cream

My favorite place for ice cream... my favorite flavor is the cookie monster ice cream-- no other ice cream parlors in San Antonio make this flavor (that I have found)

Was craving a fruit cup with chamoy for an afternoon snack and decided to try Tropicana.

Although they had what I wanted, the small fruit cup came out to $7, chamoy did not have any taste and fruit tasted like soap. Would not recommend.

We visited this location on a Friday at 8 and had a short line in front of us which moved rather quickly. There's really so much here to choose from but we landed on ice cream and a fruit cup. When it was our turn we were greeted and asked if we had any questions. All the staff were friendly and courteous. We placed our order and received our treats within minutes and headed to check out. The seating area is kinda small but adequate for the size of location. We picked a table and enjoyed our ice cream. Personally I had the Rocky Road that was full of flavor. I highly recommend this flavor if you don't know what to choose. The fruit cup was loaded as well with several types of fruit. Overall, I had a great experience and highly recommend the location.

The workers there literally gossip and talk when there is a line of people waiting and have the worst attitude. I won't be coming back here. Go to 210 ice cream instead

Stopped by here with my family for a sweet treat after dinner. The interior is very bright and clean with a decent sized seating area. They have lots of options to purchase. They have ice pops, ice cream, mangonadas (mango fruit, mango sorbet, and chili powder), various drinks, milk shakes, fruit cups and so much more. There was a long line when we got there so we we had to wait about 10-15 minutes before ordering. With only two people out front taking orders it slowed everything down. I decided to try the strawberries and cream. The inside of the cup was lined with cream and cut up pecans, lots of strawberries, a liquid cream, and then whipped cream on top. It was really good. It was sweet but not overly sweet. The liquid cream, whipped cream, and strawberries made for a perfect sweet treat after dinner.

My friend heard about this place & wanted to check it out so of course, I tagged along. I didn't expect much but was ver pleasantly surprised.

The shop is located in an unassuming strip mall. Once inside the store, you notice how bright & clean the space is. They have electronic display boards advertising their products in a very easy to read format. The employees were friendly & answered every question we had.

I had my eye on the churro banana split but it looked massive so I decided to go with a two scoop ice cream cone. In hindsight, I should've chose a single scoop as I was unable to finish two scoops. The scoops are VERY generous. I forgot to take a picture of the ice cream cone as it was so massive I decided to go straight to work on it before it melted.

I also purchased a small watermelon agua fresca & two paletas. The agua fresca had great flavor but maybe a tad sweet for my taste. I chose one watermelon & one strawberry-kiwi paleta to take home to try later. At roughly $2.50 a popsicle, why not?! They look delicious & I'm looking forward to trying them in the coming days.

I am very impressed with Tropicana Ice Cream. Their price points are fair & their serving size is generous. They have cream or water based ice creams for those who love ice cream but can't handle lactose. For those who aren't really wanting something sweet, they have a savory menu as well. They really seem to have a little something for everyone. I will definitely be back and am looking forward to sampling more from their menu.

First time here and this place is well known in the area because the door kept opening while we were waiting to order. They have a lot of yummy treats from fruit cups to corn in the cups to even churros. This ladies were working hard and everything we ordered was fresh and good.

I've been here many of times and it's always a great time. The food and items are always made fresh to order. They do take credit card and cash so that's always a plus. The atmosphere is bright and inviting, staff usually welcome you when you come in. The prices are right and there's a good amount of space to sit.
