Joe Straus represents part of northern Bexar County in the Texas House of Representatives, where his colleagues have also elected him to serve as Speaker. Speaker Straus is a solutions-oriented leader who believes in bringing people together to address the state's most serious challenges. He will visit with the Chamber about the priorities that he believes are key to economic success: education, infrastructure, and tax policies that encourage job creation. Speaker Straus will also highlight the business community's important role in the legislative and political processes.
